may know, I was diagnosed with ALS in May of 2015. On Saturday, September 14th, 2019,
I’m joining hundreds of walkers for the ALS Association’s Walk to Defeat ALS®,
and I need your support to make my efforts really matter!
also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a deadly illness with no known cause or
cure. It affects the motor neurons in a
person’s brain and spinal cord. When the
motor neurons die, the muscles waste away.
My particular version is Bulbar ALS, which primarily affects my speech
and swallowing. I now require a feeding
tube. My hands have drawn inward and I
am unable to straighten my fingers, which makes it very hard for me to write
and communicate. I am still walking
why I am encouraging you to walk and financially help those of us who
cannot. Please help us to raise money to
defeat this for myself and others.
