Eight years ago I lost my dad to ALS. It was a difficult time and still effects me to this day. A few years ago, I decided that I would do what I could to attend the Kansas City walk. I'm excited that this year, I am going to be a team captain and have been asking my immediate family and close family friends to attend the walk with me this year. This walk is one of the few things that I enjoy doing to remember and celebrate my dad. I'm also excited that his grandchildren will attend this walk. And it is important to help his grandchildren to know who he was and what happened to him. Like my dad would do for us, they should feel free to ask us anything they want to know.
So thank you for helping me reach my Walk to Defeat ALS® fundraising goal! This is an exciting opportunity for us to work together to support those affected by Lou Gehrig's Disease and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Please consider walking with me or sponsoring me. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease. I encourage you get your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers involved!
